Eventing competition was held in Kecelen between September 21-22. Regő Cseppentő competed with a stallion named Babilon, while Réka Cseppentő rode a horse named Arabeszk.
The competition lasted for two days, with dressage and show jumping taking place on the first day. In the end, Babilon secured 1st place in the CCN*AK category with Regő, while Arabeszk finished in 3rd place in category A with Réka.
Both horses were new to the terrain, yet they performed exceptionally well, completing not only the cross-country section but also the jumping and dressage events. In the dressage, both horses had outstanding performances. Réka was in 1st place after the dressage day with Arabeszk, and Regő was also in 1st place with Babilon.
The competition venue was enlivened by donkeys and ponies, which added a little spice to each rider’s journey to the course. The Kecel course didn’t include water obstacles, but it was adorned with many height-difference obstacles and combinations (including, for instance, a jump from an incline followed by a descent; a jump followed by a combination of corner jumps and angled jumps). The horses handled these challenges very well, completing the obstacle course beautifully and at a good pace.
All in all, the riders can count on a successful race weekend behind them 🙂
