The eventing organised in Bábolna between 18-20 October marked the end of the equestrian season in 2024. During this final event competitions were not only organised in the usual categories, but also a national championship and a team championship were ont he competition agenda.
Three horses represented the Ópusztaszer Akhal Stud at this competition:
Zetár, a chestnut gelding, ridden by Regő Cseppentő, who, as a worthy representative and descendant of the stallion Stardust (Kaplan line), completed the cross-country course flawlessly and in excellent time. It also performed admirably in both the dressage and show jumping parts in its first eventing competition.
Kata Bönde, riding Atlasz, also participated in her first eventing competition. This year, Kata was promoted to a higher category for faultless performance in three show jumping rounds (riding Atlasz and Vajk). In Bábolna, riding Atlasz, she completed both the cross-country and show-jumping courses without faults, earning third place in her first eventing competition. Rider and horse performed outstandingly.
Atlasz:
The individual and team championships were held in category A. Riding the golden bay mare Arabeszk, Réka Cseppentő came second in the individual competition in the National Championship. Following this, Réka also competed in the team championship as a member of the “Tuska Team,” in which the three riders (Réka Cseppentő, Viktória Csáti, and Liza Mészáros), trained by Pál Tuska, won second place, and were awarded their prize ont he winners podium. Thus, the Hungarian national anthem was played twice for Réka Cseppentő representing the Ópusztaszer Akhal Stud and Határőr Dózsa Equestrian Sports Club.
2024 has was a highly successful year, and we hope to continue this way also next year! 🙂
