One of the oldest Pentecost folk traditions is the election of the Pentecost King. The king was elected for one year. According to tradition, during this year, he was invited to all celebrations, his pub consumption was paid for, and his animals were taken care of. The royal “title” could be won by the most resourceful young man, and this year, Zsombor Cseppentő succeeded in earning this honorable title by completing various skill tests. Zsombi won with his 14-year-old Akhal-Teke horse named Arany.
