An International and National Dressage Competition, along with a Therapeutic Riding event, was held in Fót on the weekend of September 26, 2025. The Ópusztaszer Akhal Stud was represented by two riders, Regő Cseppentő with Ajtony and Zsófia Apáti with Zetár, both competing in the L7 program, stepping up into a higher category. 🎉
The warm-up took place in an indoor arena, from which riders reached the outdoor competition arena through a short passageway. Despite the windy weather — which made the tents around the arena flap vigorously — both horses stayed focused and calm throughout their performances. This level already included more advanced dressage elements (such as counter-canter and turns on the haunches). The pairs handled this progression remarkably well during their preparation and were able to show their best form in the arena. It was a challenging competition for both riders and horses, as the international field was very strong and the L7 test was a significant step up from previous levels. Nevertheless, both pairs achieved performances above 50%. Everyone evaluated the competition very positively and considered it a great experience overall.
